Curious what are your maker hours while working a full time job and raising a family. Mine are 9:30 ish PM to 2ish..
Whenever I can get it in. Some days none, some weeks none. :-(
But if I can, around the same time as you.
I think the main thing to take away from this is to do what you can and keep doing it. It is very easy to lose momentum and it is difficult to return to a project if you haven't touched it in a few weeks.
Keep coming back when it is not easy is a good skill to have and that is the skill that gets projects done or not.
After the kids are in bed 8PM to 11PM. (They wake up early again ;-))
Exactly the same for me. I'd love to be able to work until 2am and feel good when the baby wakes at 6.30am but that ain't gonna happen :)
Can't speak for having kids, but for working around my job and significant other, I find it really useful to get stuff done in the early morning. I will usually wake up around 7:00am and work for a few hours before going in.
Weekend mornings are great because you're not constrained to day job hours. You can work until lunch time and get a solid 5 or 6 hours in and then still have the rest of the day to enjoy some time off.
If I work at night on weekdays, I will usually stop by 9-10pm so I have time to spend with my SO and not let work affect my sleep.
Will it help if I formed a chat group and all of us can collaborate while we are indie hacking together. It will surely help me..

I don't start until after dinner with the family. ~7:30 to 8pm and stop before midnight.
The best time for me is the on public transport each day. No interruptions, and around 30 minutes each way. I find I get HEAPS done. I guess it's the consistency and the short time that makes it so productive.
Kids (3) are in bed by about 8:30pm, wife & I catch up on the day until about 10pm. Indie hacking 10pm - 1am. Mon - Thurs. Fri evening is family movie night. I get a bit of work in before the family wakes up on Sat morning, else Sat is home maintenance / chores / exercise / hobbies, early bed for church the next morning. Sunday = no tech / family day. Sunday evening is a bit of planning for the coming week.
Giving away family time (those kids grow up so fast!) - is not worth all the personal success in the world. #familyfirst
I accept things will take 2/3x longer this way round, but I'm not prepared to give up what is most important for a dream of something less important.
I don't have any family to worry about so usually start almost as soon as I get in from work so around 6pm until about 11pm and then as much as i can over the weekend.
