    Landing page plus waiting list

Make a landing page explaining the product and then write blog posts and reddit post and test the distribution for that particular product. Inside the landing page I setup a pop up that will request email for early bird discount.

For blogging I usually use creativeblogtopic.com to get the best keywords and title for my particular niche and target customer. The tool will also tell be style of writing that can attract the customer.

After getting that info I will create a reddit post and blogs to see how well it do.

Your product is cool, but in a reply like this you really should disclose that this is your product. Has a whiff of spammy vibes and undermines your admirable goal: sharing what you made.

        Thanks for your advice

Create a landing page to supercharge your email marketing and #buildinpublic on Twitter.

Hi! Here is a guide for launch on PH written by Tibo Maker, the guy behind tweethunter and taplio for example : https://tibo-maker.notion.site/Ultimate-guide-on-how-to-rank-1-on-Product-Hunt-589c000cd56f4baf9c64988a52eb4b4e

    Enjoy it.

    Hi, I assume this is a saas product or similar, if so, you would better to learn & follow PLG (Product Led Growth) strategies while building your product. If your product is ready at prelaunching (in step of beta or mvp) , don't worry you can still build PLG strategies into your product. Those are 4 steps to ensure a smooth transition to PLG;

1.Deciding which PLG Model makes sense for you,
2.Defining what the "Aha!" moment is in your product
3.Defining your product's ideal onboarding journey
4.Designing your pricing around the value metric or value proposition that’s the best aligned with your user success.

In summary, I suggest before launch even pre-launch , just have a look on this before starting promote your product.

Thanks a ton for the helpful info. It'll be really useful for some people.

So this may not be the best in terms of knowing what is ideal as I am going through they journey figuring it out but a few things I am noting down here in the comments. There was a post a few years back on here: https://www.indiehackers.com/post/relaunch-like-a-pro-100-places-to-launch-relaunch-and-list-your-product-7c67875635

Some may not be relevant and maybe more but I am using this for my blueprint for the app I am building (https://www.indiehackers.com/product/chnge) I still have loads to learn and implement as I am in the market and branding phase and prepare for hosting (no landing page yet but very soon) and will be marking next week to garner interest but the article above is a good base that you might find interestng.

Release a beta version to few users and get your product validated. Make important changes based on the feedback from the users (Not everything needs to be covered).

Get some traction via X, reddit, indiehackers etc., before launch on producthunt

My thoughts might be a little non traditional.

    1. Once you have the idea I would create the simplest test to validate. This might look something like build a landing page and drive traffic to prove that 100 people will convert by giving an email address.

    2. Once you have validated the idea and decided to build the product, just focus on that. Get the simplest product you can launch with and launch. I don't love the idea of pre-launch marketing or momentum. That seems like procrastination.

    3. Product hunt might be great for certain target markets, but not the majority. In my case I'm much more interested in creating a digital marketing flow to get initial customers.

To each his own on this last point, but overall I think a launch 'event' is a little overrated and probably doesn't do anything for sustainable success.

There's also pitchwall. In general, I think it's best to try and get a bit of buzz before launching on ProductHunt.

    1. 1

How big is it? Does not seem like much of a buzz there.

  11. 1

Create a landing page and ask for feedback.
Lots of eyes on it instantly.

ProductHunt is a good place to do prelaunch
