What are your thoughts on Social media bots?
Does anyone have any experience on building social media bots? If so what did you build it for and how did it help? (IE traffic generation, Task automation, etc.) I'm looking to use Node.js and Puppeteer to build automated social accounts for traffic generation(don't know if that possible but I'm going to give it a try) and I was just curious to know what kind of bots yall have built.
I automate, in a very black hat way, my instagram follow-unfollow growth with selenium
Oh awesome! That's kind of what I want to do with puppeteer. What kind of results have you gotten so far with it? And how have you made sure you don't piss off Instagram?
I run very small batches with short intervals to take advantage of the compounding effect while keeping instagram happy. I plan on distributing to multiple servers or using proxies to do this on multiple accounts (I have 6-7 accounts).
Could you explain that a little if you don't mind me asking? What's the difference between batches and intervals? And how long is each interval? Thanks for sharing by the way!
Sorry if that wasn’t more clear. For example I run 20 unfollows every hour.
I see a lot of twitter bots around, I have my own (not launched) for just posting, but I don't really see the ones working well?
Maybe it's just me, but it looks like not much interaction.
I haven't built any bots but I'm more on the side of automation for convenience

I haven't built any social media bots but if I would use them. I would use bots that are geared towards automation to save time
I built a tool more for SEO and keywords
