What aspects of course creation do you want to learn about?
Hello! I'm working on some resources to help course creators make better content.
Currently, I'm working on covering areas like choosing course topics, structuring courses, instructional design, avoiding scope creep, ways to make courses more engaging, audio and video production, and marketing courses.
Which of those areas, and other areas, would you be most interested in learning about?
I think that identifying a niche and defining the course topics is one of the mayor pain points of the creators.
Also, how to do the marketing and the selling with low resources :)
Marketing and finding an audience for courses is something I'm interested in learning. I'd also like to explore how much content is appropriate at different price levels, though I suspect this varies by audience.
Yes determining content scope and price is a particularly interesting topic. I think you're right that it varies with audience, and not just the audience's willingness to spend, but also what kind of results the course will deliver. Hence coding bootcamps charging a premium for helping people make a career change in tech, vs. courses that teach the same coding languages or frameworks often sell for under $100, sometimes even $10 on Udemy. The level of service can also influence pricing - for example, if you offer any live coaching or feedback on student work, or something like office hours for Q&A. I'll put together something in depth in the coming weeks, as this is a great topic and one I've been researching.
Also marketing and finding an audience are both excellent topics with a lot to explore.
Where to find like minded course creators? Like peers group?
I've looked through Reddit and some places but not sure where course creators hang out yet.

I think the concept of finding an audience for your course before you create is an important one. I know this can be tricky when you don't have a large personal brand or following. Some insights into how to get validation for your course before you create it would be awesome. I am already trying to do this with Startup Sanctuary and our courses but any other insights on this would be great.
