My main point: your skills, or your products, are only valuable if there's customer demand for those things.
How many times have we seen someone create a product, who then tried to shop it around, but couldn't find customers?
This pandemic is going to create a lot of uncertainty, but there will be opportunities for indie hackers.
But remember: If your new idea is not being lead by demand, you run the risk of having something that nobody wants.
The restaurant industry has taken a hit, to say the least. What if there some type of "insurance" to help them handle the next situation better.
A restaurant pays a monthly fee and this new company helps them convert to take-out more easily. This company could bring more take-out containers, equipment, help adjust the layout to optimize the space for take-out.
The best restaurants for this would be the restaurant that have more sit down customers than take-out.
I realized after I typed this that you were talking about a recession and not another epidemic. Not sure if this would work in a recession.
