What calling software is good for Interview Podcasts?

I've tried Zoom for my last couple and the audio quality is worse than my other YT videos or solo podcasts.

I would use zencastr.com or squadcast.fm since they both record locally during the call.

This is definitely the right answer. The audio quality is so much better than you could possibly get if you're recording everything just from your computer.

I use Zencastr for my podcast and I've found it to be really easy to use. Their postproduction feature costs a small amount of money, but it results in great audio quality.

    Squadcast.fm for the win!
Also make sure you're using a dynamic mic, condensers are terrible for podcasting

Thanks for the rec. I just upgraded my mic to a mini blue yeti this year and am too frugal to re-upgrade for a while but I'll keep that in mind.

You could try skype and use https://www.ecamm.com/mac/callrecorder/ for recording the audio this is a paid tool for macs or https://zencastr.com/

What a coincidence! I just searched my personal archives and realized I actually own the Ecamm Skype plugin!

I got it years ago didn't use it much and left it behind about it 2 computers ago. I'll definitely give it a shot and let you know how it goes.

I just realized skype has its own free recording option when you're on a call/video.
Once connected with your guest bottom right-hand side youll see 3 periods click that and you'll see recording options. Good luck, and lets me know how it goes.

I used Ecamm, and it was great! The audio quality was far better than zoom and I got two entirely separate videos for each side of the conversation. It made editing much, much easier.

Great, glad it worked out well : )

I use zencastr and I’m quite satisfied.

use any soft with krsip.ai that will reduce the noise

The problem wasn't excess noise. The problem was Zoom didn't record very high fidelity.

I see, weird, because zoom works good most of the time
