What changed you after your first startup failed?

Personally, My first venture was with my 4 friends which need a chunk of our salary initially to run. Once a co-founder backed up, we crumbled.

With the second one, I started solo with a higher level of patience, and rather than paying for the service, work with trials/free-tier and then scale up.

Since COVID, I lost my investor and had to drop all plans. So I've moved my project to Weekends only and joined a company.

How is it going for you?

I became more spend conscious. We started overspending on vanity marketing opportunities as soon as we had a surplus of positive revenue and it crumbled our inner budgets very fast when the ROI wasn't as fast as we'd hoped.

Keep it up, even if it's only during weekends.

I'm on a very similar position than you are. Joined a startup as co-founder 10 years ago, had some success but eventually the company went down hill. Started a new one last year but couldn't finish / get enough traction to keep the lights on, so I got a remote job last month.

I'm happy now, but I'll keep trying to make the product succeed, even if that means working on it only during weekends. Let's hope it all goes well!

    Thanks for sharing Sunim :)
