¿What creates engagement in Twitter?

One year ago I set to understand how to grow a Twitter audience.

And through research and experimentation I found some hacks:

  • Reply fast and smooth to high visibility accounts.
  • Follow similar accounts to yours and develop meaningful connections.
  • Pick a niche and tweet with quality and consistency about it.

That worked for me to gain about 1,000 followers in ~4 months. Or about 10 new followers a day.

But that linear growth might not be enough to make it as an Indie Hacker.

I now approach the question of how to create outstanding content. My guess is that it depends on 3 factors:

  • The quality of the content: that is new, interesting, trustable, and demanded.
  • The style of the content: that is easy to read and interact with.
  • New hacks: giving and asking reciprocal engagement.

Just as the last time, I will start by developing a product. This is the V2 of branding.gq and will feature NLP-AI analytics to understand what type of content (topics) work best for your audience.

I will then move to read, and make research on Engagement Analysis, and create a map of Twitter by industry and niches.

This post has the purpose of recruiting beta testers for V2 of branding.gq. So if you want to participate please leave a comment or send me a DM.

And if you have ideas or know what creates engagements please share them with everyone else. We will appreciate it!
