I'm at a point where spreadsheets and one off emails are not viable anymore. So I'm searching for an easy to user cost effective CRM/Marketing system that can do the following:
B2B Focused
CRM - Handle Companies & people who work for them
Pipeline - to track those people in the CRM - lead, ongoing sales, sold, remarket to, dead etc, followup reminders, next stage/action etc
Marketing - Email marketing campaigns - new lead, remarket, come back, onboarding etc
- Would be great to have FB/IG ad integration/control too for marketing
Calls - Some kind of link/or built in phone call system to make dealing with pipeline tracking/actions easy.
Integration - well supported integrations with other services if need be.
Currently I have about 500 leads to track, expect it to grow to about 5000 over time.
I'm a non-tech with a MVP launched and some clients using it. It is build with Ruby on Rails as a backend.
Currently using Crisp.chat for in-app support & Helpdesk articles. I just setup the email section to be able to email to users too. But I don't think it's going to handle leads too well from what I can tell.
So what have you guys used out there that you love and is not big money (or becomes big money after a few months or one year?
Options on the radar from initial research:
Outseta (looks good, but not sure yet)
HubSpot (so confusing, so many options, prices, plans etc, but is a big player in this space so it seems well supported)
Salesforce (they seem to have some new plans for small businesses)
Close (looks interesting, their phone thing looks neat, but it's pay per minute)
Who else to look at?
I've added a card to the IndieStack Bible Trello board, so you can vote, add your comments about services, or add the service you use there too: https://trello.com/b/1gQarTJs/indiestack-bible
Don't be afraid to break some of this functionality out. I've found the "all-in-one" systems to be really clunky. If I were you I would use HubSpot for your pipeline, and organizing contacts. Then use an email tool like Drip, Constant Contact, Klavio, etc... Same with the Social Media management. HootSuite, Social Report, Sendible, Co-Schedule...
Thanks Shane, are you using any of those yourself that you would recommend?
Yep I'm using HubSpot as my CRM. I really like them and they have incredibly fair pricing. I like how I can pay for the features that I want on a per user basis. So everyone who is in sales can pay for the pro tools, then others can just use the free version but still see the same data.
As far as email goes . I'm using Drip. I used to be a huge fan, and one of the founders was even on these forms. But lately Drip has just been way to focused on e-commerce, so I'm no longer much of a fan but the pain of switching is too great so that's why we are still with them. I've heard good things about Klavio though.
I've never used a social media management tool before, but my girlfriend really likes Sendible.
Thanks dude! Trying you HubSpot today.
Re CRM, I like NoCRM because of the 'excel sheet' mode view. Otherwise, there is also Pipedrive that is highly functional.
For email marketing I highly recommend Sendinblue.
You have deals (6 months free or vouchers) with those three and 60+ more on https://www.joinsecret.com. It is 100% free.
Insightly and Highrise both come to mind as possible options.
EDIT: Oops, looks like Highrise is dead :-(
I have enjoyed using Streak.com
