I create content @digitalSamaritan on IG/TikTok (500k+ followers) and have grown accounts for companies like Zapier.
TikTok/Reels is a magical platform for startups to find the PMF. Everyone loves hearing about the tools which can help them save time or money or bridges the knowledge gap.
I share weekly tips on how to grow your startup on TikTok/Reels in my newsletter at kushank.substack.com
Today I just wanted to share a simple tip about what CTAs can make you go viral!
If you’re an entrepreneur you probably already the number #1 rule of the business game.
”It’s always about the user”
With that in mind, the content on Social Media is basically a sub-product of your startup and you should treat it as such.
People don’t spend hours on TikTok/IG just to be sold to. They are doom scrolling to be entertained or being educated.
The goal of your content should be exactly what users want. Education or entertainment (or ideally both).
But how will it help your startup?
The business goal of the content is to drive traffic to your profile and your profile must be optimized to bring traffic to your website.
You must leverage the bio and pinned videos to optimize your profile for conversion.
So what should be your CTA on the videos?
Honestly, you don’t need one. I have grown my social presence to over half a million @digitalSamaritan without any CTA
Even when I share a tool/website, I just show the website, that’s it!
If your content adds value, people will be drawn to your profile or to check out that website.
However if you want to use some CTA’s, here’s some of my favorites you can use:
Check my playlist X for more content like this
Check out my video on Y for more details
Go and take a look at my other videos
And the ultimate CTA which also boosts engagement (ideal for educational content):
”Save it for later⚡️”
Note: I am referring to organic videos in this post. Paid posts are a different ball game!
How's tiktok monetization going? The say they pay very little?
Nah! I am in Canada and there's no creator fund!
And I've heard creator fund in US is also trash!
But monetization is good! Basically it is a good marketing channel and I've been pushing my own product and scoring sponsorships along the way
I did some research about it and hose are most of it I think.
