What do you do to get backlinks to your website?

For SEO I need to get backlinks for my monitup.com website. Are you using anything for this? Or can we do something here to support each other?

    Just some random ideas:

    • Directories for software
    • Write a research article about productivity. You can promote it for backlinks.

      So what do I need? I guess there is a lot of competition for my keyword: "employee monitoring". They also suggest that I write a blog.
