What do you do with a failed product?

  1. Do you leave it up?
  2. Take it down and remove all traces of it?
  3. Slap a sticker on the front saying it is not currently under development?
  4. Other?

    Hi Rehan,

    I've built many small projects, and to no surprise, some of them didn't get much traction.

    When I determine that a project has failed, I first look at if I could pivot the project into something that could work. And if I don't think of any pivot, I take down the project and archive everything from the code to the design files. Maybe in time, I think of a new product for which I could use the failed project as a boilerplate (the designs and/or (parts of) the code).

      I can't/don't want to pivot this one. I think I might leave it up, worst case it makes for a great CV portfolio project and maybe attracts a client to the end of the lifespan.
