Salesforce is a pricy option, but still, many businesses consider it for their e-commerce projects. The platform is pretty good at building business rules for custom marketing and promo campaigns.

Drawbacks
- B2B opportunities are a strong point for Salesforce, while it is a natural option for SAP Hybris.
- Poor community support. In other words, outsourced Demandware developers have to mine support from their experience in the main.
- Cost. It is really overpriced for small and mid-tier businesses.
What can I say in conclusion? Salesforce Commerce Cloud is not good for growing mid-tier companies that are frugal in spending. And multisite management option available from a single backend with a quick setup of a new website will stimulate business owners for more. May be you should have a look at OroCommerce. It has equal number of features as of SAP Hybris. But OroCommerce is Open Source. Hence no product cost associated. Just a implementation cost.
