What do you need to name a plan "Enterprise"?
I'm working on my SaaS app's pricing page, and I'm puzzled by how to name the highest tier plan which would be "Contact us" / custom pricing. Can I name it "Enterprise" even if I'm a solo founder of a bootstrapped project? Or Enterprise plan generally means you need a 24/7 phone support, and sales person, etc. on your team? In that case I guess I should name it "Business", but then Teams <> Business is kind of confusing, isn't it?
I'd name my plans:
- Free
- Hobbyist
- Teams
- Business or Enterprise
Solo dev here as well, and for https://polygonjs.com, the plans are free/freelance/team/enterprise.
And for enterprise, the service I offer is not necessarily 24/7 support, but more a dedicated support, where custom features are prioritized, or I can help on custom integrations. All my clients are actually in that category at the moment.

Thinking of removing “Small” but haven’t decided yet.
Sold a couple of enterprise licenses, so it can be done. These are still standard packages so nothing crazy like 24/7 support, security audits, or on premise dress codes :D

I'd consider if you want to serve the actual enterprise market. I found the pre-sales process is often so ridiculously long and convoluted that it isn't worth it for me as indie dev.
But you can always have the enterprise tier there to anchor the price to a high value (so your lower tiers seem cheaper). In the end you decide under what conditions you sell your service.
In the IT world, enterprise refers to large businesses and organizations. So, I would use Enterprise as your most robust offering. Sometimes, SaaS vendors offer custom pricing for Enterprise, so you may want to have something like "Small Business" in-between.
I'm ok with calling it "Enterprise" then. Can you explain a bit more about "so you may want to have something like "Small Business" in-between."? I thought "Teams" would be exactly that. Is there anything wrong with calling it Teams?
I personally think team is use "Teams", so I think that's totally fine. But that may depend on your industry. In Web design and "creative" fields, they may prefer "team" as it conveys a group of freelancers/artists, and in finance they may prefer "small business" as it conveys an official company.
As long as you use the vocabulary that your clients use, any term is fine.
