What do you think?

Good luck. Marketplaces are tough. How are you planning to acquire both buyers/sellers at the same time?

No idea! Built this two days ago. :)
I think if I can get developers on board I can attract recruiters because they are always looking for good talent.

Everything make sense here. Just that not a fan of Undraw's illustrations anymore :(

Looks good! Nice and clear. Two immediate bits of feedback are:

    1. The projects page really needs visuals. At minimum a screenshot of the project, if not a gallery/carousel.

    2. The individual project pages need some love. They have so little going on they look broken or at least unfinished.

In general though, pretty polished looking. Good job.

Thanks! Yeah I definitely want to add the option of uploading images for projects but wanted to get feedback on the MVP before implementing. Maybe a primary image that becomes a thumbnail on the main projects page similar to PH.

Above the fold is visually nice, well done. But as soon as I clicked the main CTA button, there's lorem ipsum text in the description of the projects, and no photos of developers.

    1. 1

Yeah we need users to add project to fill up that space :D
You can have photos for profiles but I have not implemented it yet for projects. Seems like it can add a lot of color so I'll look into it.

As a potential customer for this product, I think your messaging was clear and your value props were compelling.

For an MVP this is great. Could the design use a bit more personality? Sure it can, but that stuff is easy to tweak as you go.

Why do I think it was on the right track? Because I clicked on the "Explore Projects" button hoping there would be something there :)

    1. 1

Thanks! Yes the Explore Projects would look much nicer once there are more projects submitted. Right now it's the good old cold start problem. :)

  6. 2

You lost on the 5 second rule.

    1. 1

Yeah the messaging needs tweaking probably

  7. 2

Personally, and please don't take this the wrong way, I think it's lacking personality, almost feels like you just bought a template and put the files online

    1. 2

Hmm - Interesting. What about it strikes you lacking personality?

      1. 3

Lack of humans (photos), text not talking to an audience, lack of testimonials, lack of social network page, no social proof

Looks great really polished. I wonder if you could surface some of the Projects on to the landing page in one of the sections just to entice signups?

Have you considered doing a closed beta to get some traction with users? I suppose getting a sufficient number of users for it to hit critical mass is going to be one of the challenges, it would be interesting to hear how you get on with that as it's an area I would personally love to learn more about.

What did you use to build the landing page if you don't mind me asking. Are the graphics custom or stock and how / where do you get them?

  9. 1

How do you plan to monetize it?

  10. 1

UPDATE: I added images! Nervous about the performance and cost trade off though. Learning as I do this :)

Hi, I am not for giving you a feedback about you tech side (appearance, Message etc.)of your website. I believe in business ideas and what kind of problems you are going to solve) from this point it might work but as I understand HRs usually are not tech people. They check people based on their background and stack the candidate is familiar with, correct me if I am wrong. How Can HR understand that this is the right person? And what is going to be the next step in assessment?

    1. 1

This is a good point. And I don't have a good answer yet. Maybe there is demand, maybe not. I have a few customer segments in mind such as small businesses where it'll be a higher up trying to find someone for a project rather than a traditional HR person but this is all theoretical. Right now I'm in discovery phase.

      1. 1

Starting with small ones may be a good way. You still need to define your first target audience so maybe small projects or new startups could be a good fit for initial test. Than you will see a bigger picture. You have to think about your VP and positioning otherwise it is hard to differentiate you from other freelance apps. If it is project based...what is difference than?
