What do you think about our revised landing?

http://www.caravelstudio.io

Hello indihackers,
we just revised our landing (actually it's not a landing anymore, it's just a first page :) page.
Can you please look at it? www.caravelstudio.io
Do you see something weird or unclear?
Do you feel a desire to try the product right now or not at all?
We are looking forward to hearing your honest feedback!
Thanks a lot!

    I would swap your H1 and H2

'Create your own web application without coding' is WAY more powerful than 'Web apps development platform for people with ideas'

You need to clean up your copy.

"We have the extensive experience in full-stack programming and what we understood one day was - from 60 to 100% of code that any web app consists of - can be formalized, reused, and generated automatically. "

    Could become:

"Our team has built a lot of web apps (link) and we learned that 60-100% of the code in an app can be generated almost automatically. So we made a tool to let you do that."

    Something like that.

Thank you very much for your feedback! We definitely need to work more on the copy :)

Sounds interesting, will be investigating. You might want to have someone proofread your copy (e. g. "You haven't create any projects.")

Whoops... yeah I think so. Thanks!

Coming from a non-programming background, I love the idea. Having the ability to build something and iterate quickly would be very useful. However, I'm not sure I'd understand what I could do with it as a non-developer. I think some examples of existing web apps with pictures would be useful to further demonstrate your capabilities.

Also, the copy could be improved in the following areas:

    WHY

    1. "So why waste your time on what can be done by code generators?"

    2. "The code engines generate the layout, code and set up all the necessary setting behind the scenes. But you can still customize everything, including every line of code."

    DESIGN
I don't understand the company name and logo with the ship. To me it feels a bit dated for what the service provides. I think the page layout is too condensed and could use some breathing room. Maybe the banner images could be replaced with some artwork that is less technical and those examples can be used later to explain the concept.

    PRICE
I think the pricing is fair, though you might want to consider going a little higher on the Basic plan (maybe $10) and offer a discount when you go live.

Based on this presentation, I would be tempted to try it, but wouldn't jump on it. I think the tone and design need to be warmer to make it more attractive to me. Hope this helps!

You are absolutely right. I'm preparing some sample apps, tutorials and app templates - will publish all of them soon.
Also, the copy could be improved in the following areas: WHY
Hmm you mean I should ask the question and give the answer?
I don't understand the company name and logo with the ship.
It just came from my love of the sea and sailing ships and to be - damn it! - a little bit unique! At least, I hope, you will memorize the name :)

Yeah, may be. It's just made offhand.

Why do you think it's worth to make the price higher?

This is really interesting... can you give some example which exact text could be warmer? Or you are talking about the total expression?
      Thanks for your comprehensive feedback!

Oh, I meant the "Why" section of your paragraph section after the banner. The text in quotations were my suggestions on how to phrase those lines of copy.

I haven't tested the app so I couldn't say. But I think that if people find value in it, $2 is not going to be a deal breaker.

Yes, I was referring to the overall page. I think the language is too technical too soon. This is old news, but worth mentioning. Slack's homepage is a great example of a smooth segue into what they do :)

Thanks a lot for your explanation. It helps me to make the website better!

The arrowed label parts of the hero image ("web page editor" and "stylesheet editor") get cut off on desktop, at least at my default browser window size. So they say "e editor" and "stylesh"

OMG... thanks a lot, I need to check it!

Hmm on mobile it looks a bit weird the images don’t scale

Uh-oh, I need to check it again. Thanks!
