What do you think about the idea for tracking sports bets?

Hey guys,
after reading Spencer Jonas thread on wasting 18 months on building a product that earned $0, it got me thinking about a side project that's been running for years now.

Back in the day, as my first real project built from scratch I released Betting Tracker, an app that replaces spreadsheets and helps user track their bets and provides statistics so that they can make informed decisions and know if they are actually winning or losing money. At that time I was betting occasionally and I built it for myself. I hated the spreadsheets because they were impossible to sync across devices and mobile experience was.. Well you know :D

And after releasing the first version, polishing it to my wishes I went to reddit and posted an update. And oh boy, I got response from community. I got 600 signups within a week. It was a free platform, buggy as hell and with low engagement from the users.

Tracking is hard, you need to input a fair share of data first to make it work and you need consistency. A lot of people don't like that. So I let it run on it's own. Over the course of the few years, it has around 3000 users without me doing anything marketing related.

I have some organic traffic and the website and onboarding experience sucks. But at that time, it was good compared to my experience. I didn't have time to focus on it.

Fast forward, as the news about US slowly lifting ban on betting, that idea came to my mind again and I started working on improved version. After 3 years, my development, product and marketing skills have improved so now I have a clear vision what to do and how to do it. But, the thing is I lack a motivation right now.

It's a long way from being profitable, and getting that audience to actually pay for it is hard, so fremium/affiliate monetisation are also still on table.
However, this year, I finally sat down and did complete rewrite, together with better analytics, improved performance and new UX.

I didi it because I hated the old design and it's probably pointless job, but I had to do it.

I still have to redo the website, update documentation and implement email onboarding. There is a lot of new features I want to add, but if there's no demand, I don't want to do it.

I wanted to ask you guys, what do you think about the idea? Do you think betting will continue to rise? And do you think people are willing to pay for their betting management? If bookmakers were more open and allowed integration with user accounts, that would make it a hell of a lot easier, but right now there's no way to automate user input and that is a big drawback for users.

Also, a bit off topic, how many of you you are betting on sports? :)
