Hey there! I'm Wolf Kohlberg, the Co-Founder & COO of Bus-com!
We've just launched Bus.com - Safe, affordable and reliable charter bus rentals, and I would love to get some web design feedback
http://www.bus.com
Any tips/feedback/suggestions would be much appreciated
Happy to hear your thoughts!
Thank you
Hi Wolf,
Am a bit confused. Given the (assumed) cost of acquiring bus(com) I'm surprised to see you reaching out to indiehackers for feedback on a landing page. What's the back story?
For what it's worth your landing page is probably what people would expect from a bus company - kinda dull but if it's working then all good. I would consider leading with the "Which bus type is right for me?" but I just guessing and you would need to test of course.
Which leads to one of the more interesting things I've found on indiehackers recently. Check out @gonzamordecki14 and their automated http://abtesting.ai tool which boosted conversions for a Toyota campaign by 18%. Pretty cool. I've no connection to them.
Hey, Wolf,
I find the landing page clear and understandable. The value proposition that you make (enabling group travel) can be seen easily. Too bad that in Covid-19 times, group travel has temporarily become dangerous, but this has nothing to do with your landing page.
The design of the page is a little conservative, like people did it in the early days of Wordpress sites. If this works well for/with your audience, just leave it like that! If not, try something with a little "fresher" design. That is a totally personal view, it might be just me ... somebody else might have a different opinion.
Best...
Matthias
On first impressions, I'm not sure what is the most important thing to do or see. I first saw "Plan your trip with ease" but then I started reading from the top middle, about wellness and didn't understand how that related to busses.
An update to your "trip change and cancellation policies" to me doesn't belong at the very top and upon the first unique session I ever have on the site. And I was on desktop chrome, the x button to close is very very very tiny, so at first I thought it was part of the site all the time. One of the reasons why I started reading it.
While there seem to be a lot of bus systems (greyhound, city bus, etc.) I think you are targeting charter bus trips. And I didn't get that right away from seeing the date and time picker. For some reason upon looking at it first I thought it was like Rome2Rio.
