My friend (who has background as software analyst) and I (UX design + entrepreneurship) want to start a company focusing on building great, simple CV sites for working women. We would even offer a tier of category where we populate the site for them based off their other social media sites. Thinking of calling it Mighty Mini Pages... I broke down the tiers here (attached image).
Just by googling I couldn't find anything out there that breaks down website design in transparent tiers like this.
Keep in mind for most people even using Wix or Squarespace is still too confusing. They still need a middleman to help them. And they definitely don't know how to host a site or map domains.
We would be using a whitelabeled website builder that my co-founder is familiar with. She pays an annual fee for unlimited use and storage.
As women, it would be relatively easy to reach out to other professional women who we find on LinkedIn but don't have their own websites and appeal to them... even letting them know which custom URLs are available.
I agree with everything @DavidGetchel said, although neither he nor I are your target market. You really need to get some feedback from some potential users.

Hmm, if you're trying to target women, the name doesn't really reflect that in my opinion. Some more info on the tiers would be nice too. What's included with the monthly updates? Is it just security or text/photo changes? If it's people that can't handle wix or squarespace, a lot more simple language would be needed. Also would they get their own domain for the higher tiers or would it be part of yours?
I think that's a good niche to target though. Less tech savvy business women who don't have the skills to do their own site, but want one.
The first row is for "custom domain"-- so only the basic account wouldn't get it. I don't want it to be too feminine-- I hate that shit. This is just our target market, we don't want to exclude men. We will think more about the monthly updates.. I was thinking they would use a submit form to send text or image changes. Thanks for the feedback!
