What do you think of .xyz domains?

I'm considering buying .xyz domain for my future SaaS.
Do you think it's a good idea ?

I like them (abc.xyz looks cool to me), but I'm technical. I've had conversations with non-technical people who were wary of anything unusual, like .co domains. If your customers are technical, it could be a good starter (or even permanent) domain - otherwise, steer clear.

I feel like for non technical folks, these domains may not be as appealing. They are more use to .com, .edu, or .org.

This also depends on who your target audience is. Are they developers, people in tech space, startups?
