Basically you are looking for the holy grail, but then, do you think they will ever allow it ? Infinite energy is equivalent to making everyone independent and do you think this would be good for major economies that depend on a dependency ?
It's a play on words but if you think about it....
If it would be possible it would happen. There is no "conspiracy" in the world that could keep this knowledge and technology hidden.
If you are looking from a capitalist view, sure we try to squeeze money out of everything, but energy is also the limiting factor for our economy. If we could find an energy source that would be 10X better of what we have right now, every country would try to harness it ASAP, because it would bring a massive economical advantage.
TLDR: There is no "they". There are monopolies doing shady things, but those are just people with power. But power always shifts... as we see right now in the world with US and China.

Well, I personally think Iron Man is a douche who flaunts his money and makes most of his income with weapons and shady technologies 😂

Well iron man is not so bad if you think about it, his companies are inheritances left by his father if I'm not mistaken and then in the course of the story gives up selling weapons and begins to defend the defenseless people.

Teleportation is not around the corner
There are multiple ways to achieve this without teleportation:
Prediction: Based on online behavior you can predict with 99.9% certainty 20min in advance what kind of Pizza will be ordered. Think about it... we spend often so much time just on the website, trying to log in, ... thinking about what we want. Etc.
Food printers: It just prints the food close to your location and that's it. Technology is probably much easier to achieve than teleportatin.
Yes the idea of pizza printers is something that fascinates me a lot, we need to evaluate the sense and why, we evaluate it together ?
