I have a super basic, simple landing page but I have found that my thoughts inside my head don't always translate well to page and others consumption.
I just want to see if you can tell me what you think the product does.
The landing page looks clean, but it’s a bit hard to understand what the product actually does at first glance. I get the sense it’s something to do with organizing or capturing notes, but the value or main use case isn’t immediately clear. A short one-liner about the problem it solves would really help visitors ‘get it’ right away.
Thanks for this feedback Sara. I missed these comments. I ended up not pursuing this project due to lack of interest
hey @brenton
from my understanding the product is an app that reminds you about birthdays and/or other special events and crafts personalized messages that you can review before sending :) *** i know you are not asking about design but i feel that i should add that at first (before I scrolled down) i thought that it automated sending written letters to loved ones because of your graphic of a letter to the right. it wasnt until i read more closely and scrolled down that i came to the aforementioned conclusion (i think it would also help clear up confusion by clarifying that you are sending text messages because 'messages' can be a little vague with all the different avenues you can send messages)
hope this helps!!
Sorry about missing this comment, I ended up not pursuing this product as I wasn't able to generate any interest. Really good feedback though on the clarity I was missing
e-cards (not a positive emotional response)
curious on the "not a positive emotional response". Correct in that it will have personalised e-cards but I am guessing the Relationship Management didn't come across in the messaging.
Hopefully you don't find this directness offensive and it doesn't discourage you too much...
Like I've seen e-cards, I hate them, there is something too corporate about this, I'd rather have like a 3-5 word sentence with an emoji from someone than one of these e-cards. I just don't like them personally. I think it feels a bit like getting an empty off-shelf card even if they fill it. There is some psychological explanation of perceived time invested - feel like the least one could do. Might be just me. Might be getting the corporate cards from people you don't care about and that don't care about you making this the worse version. Yea I'm totally negative, I'll respect you less/consider our relationship less important to you if you ever send me one. Sorry I'm not a prospect for this at all, it doesn't mean I think everyone thinks the same and I know businesses buy them.
If by "Relationship Management" you mean the reminders, I've seen that on first glance but it's not something I find as a main focus. You can't compete with the classic on phone calendar reminders if someone actually cares. And as I mentioned I don't like the automated low effort, oh facebook/linkedin/.. says he has a birthday.
I really appreciate your candidness here. I know what you mean by empty off shelf card as I tend to fill them up, even though I know people put time and effort into choosing the one that conveys how they feel.
I think my messaging wasn't clear on the waitlist originally as I was too concise, which made it feel like just another e-card.
With "Relationship Management" I did mean reminders but also as a user I would add memories or inside jokes etc to the contact. This info would be used when crafting the message, which can then be tweaked to the users liking. I used the card examples due to better imagery than a text message screenshot but your words have given me something to think about with including that too.
All good, the vibes you got and feedback have been helpful in what I need to convey in my messaging
