I am building my startup (withpublic.com, where one can earn money by recommending friends and family to open jobs) and need a solution to send emails. Currently, I use Spring Boot/Thymeleaf and AWS SES, but this solution is mostly code-based, is there any free, more flexible solution to send emails?
Currently using Mailjet; it's simple and I'm still on the free plan.
I am using Mailazy. So far it works nicely. Their free tier is quite nice. If you are also looking for more marketing features as well, you can check elastic email. They offer more marketing features on top of email api service.
I use SendInBlue for my SaaS application, I probably send less than 10 emails per day and am still using the free tier.
For high num. of emails (>1000) I use Mailgun.
I use Mautic + AWS SES
Did you need a "warm up" ?
We use Drip for everything, but if we are going to do cold emailing we use GMass + Sendgrid.
Try sendinblue
I'm using Mailgun, which has a pretty generous basic plan.
However, I can't tell if it is what you are looking for. (I'm using their API to send email from code, which is maybe a lot like Amazon's SES.)
Currently using Loops for Testkit and it's absolutely amazing and refreshing in comparison to the other alternatives. I'm so done with Mailchimp, hated their UX ever since I started using it.
H: We use Mailchimp, super simple & easy to use!
But not beig able to import custom fonts is a huge pain as you can't match your CI without creating the entire newsletter in InDesign/Photoshop and then chopping it up and sending as a wall of images.
Sendy is also pretty cheap compared to others, although not that easy to set up.
And I've been looking at https://formspark.io/ as well.
What is your current setup costing you? The AWS SES bit must be essentially free, unless you're sending a lot of emails? Is it worth the time cost to move at this stage? What else could you do with your service if you didn't do that?
I have free AWS credits, the only thing is I have to write code, optimize email template myself. I have the working solution, I was exploring alternative solutions.
I am using MailerLite with Integromat (a similar app like Zapier), and it's working perfectly.
I registered for https://www.mailersend.com/ because they have a very generous free tier, that's more than I need to get started.
Looks good, thanks for sharing 👍
Are you looking for something like mailchimp.com?
Yeah, but how do I move emails from my database to Mailchimp, do I have to use Zapier or a similar product?
If it's a one-time move, you can import your contacts in bulk.
If you need to sync data, you can use their api and/or webhooks.
By the way, as a longtime mailchimp user, I hate it. Used to be a great product, now it's overpriced and bloated. I'm currently testing out EmailOctopus. Not as fully featured, but easy to use, developer friendly and half the price.
