What do you use for server alerts to wake you up?

I use new relic, cloud watch and pingdom. On my iPad I have each of these companies a VIP on my mail app and I play an alarming sound when I get an email from one of these sources

This works 95% of the time unless ipad doesn't play sound for some reason. I turn off all other sounds on my iPad so only this wakes me up

There has to be a better way than this?
