What do you use to create landing pages?

Hey there,

I'm quite new to this stuff, and I got stuck with that thing. Explaining, I'm a business person with limited abilities in design/code, so I'm working on a mentoring service for Brazilian entrepreneurs that need to understand the business rules here.

My intent:

  • Have a website - basic, yet professional.
  • Have a blog inside that - same idea
  • An easy way to create forms/landing pages for subscriptions and so

How do you approach this?

I have tried some options:

Jekyll + Netlify:

I was looking to use Jekyll + Netlify because it's free, but I'm not happy with that; I need to find a better template or code my own to get things looking professional.

WordPress:

I give it a try today, but most of those free templates doesn't feel good for me.

All in one solutions:

I'm also considering to use some all in one software, like getresponse.com
But I'm not comfortable with that too.

I know that this is more than tools; I'm open to trying other things, don't want to pay hundreds of dollars yearly for a simple site, and I'm wondering an easy & fast way to quite something live.

I built my landing page with Jekyll+Netlify. Used CloudFlare to speed things up. As for the template, I've used Cruip.

I didn't know Cruip yet, I'll check that out, probably it will be my first choice as soon as I already had Jekyll+Netlify running.

Hey we built https://versoly.com/ and would love to work with you.

We just added Stripe checkouts for one time and recurring payments.

You can setup simple landing pages and add blogs in minutes.

Please DM and we can chat some more :)

I’ve used carrd for single-pagers to get out quickly. This site is on carrd: https://premiumjs.com/ (not currently working on that)

Recently, put up a landing page in raw HTML, some tailwind for styles, and deployed to Netlify: https://sipp.dev.

I’ve also used Hugo SSG deployed to Netlify, which is pretty nice too.

We use Unbounce to quickly create and test landing pages. It has a great wordpress plugin or you can point your DNS to it and has great A/B testing/reporting tools and integrations. Check it out!

I built my last landing page using Weblium, it's way simpler than Webflow, has HUGE number of high quality templates, and I have yet to find a feature that's missing.

I’m learning the exact framework, Next.js

It works great and is very simple to use and has great performance. It is also very simple to add a blog in too.

Next JS is on my list too, probably I'll try to keep Jekyll for an instance and try something like NextJS
