What do you want to accomplish by the end of this week?

Obviously for me is to get the 3rd Issue of my newsletter out by Friday, but I have a few other things in mind, such as

  • Looking for an easy, on the go blogging platform, so I'll be tinkering with a few that I have found and have that set up by Friday.

  • Find a way to integrate that into my website (Carrd)

  • I have other remote work that I'm hoping to complete by the end of the week.

  • Brainstorm ways for me to monetize my newsletter in the future, while still keeping it 100% free.

How about you guys?

At the beginning of June I set a goal to write 1,000 words per-day on my book (https://adhdpro.xyz/). My goal is 30,000 words, which seems like a good length for an e-book.

I fell behind last week because I ran into hard writers block as well as some classic ADHD procrastination. I took my own advice and made a conscious effort to relax for a few days, and now I feel great.

    My goals for this week:

    • Write 1,600 words per day until Friday to catch up with my word-count goal
    • Release a new sample chapter (the first one was very well received)
    • Interview two more people

The interesting thing about taking a short break is coming back invigorated with higher quality ideas than before. If I don't end up reaching my word-count goals, I don't really care, as long as I feel good about the quality of my writing.

Wow, that is quite a goal! I’m also hoping to write ebook. But before I do, I’m hoping to get some validation with an upcoming blog post. It’s too bad there isn’t an ebook group!

Your path is a good one. I did a blog post that had incredible feedback, which turned me on to writing this book. We really should have an e-book group...

No way! That’s reassuring to hear then. Yes! Maybe we can start one? @rosiesherry is it possible to start an ebook group?

Maybe a 'writing' or a 'content creators' one? Anyone want to volunteer to run it? We're slowly allowing people to do that.

            1. 1

Good idea. Content Creators is probably more encompassing. I don't know what's involved with running it, but I would love to learn more!

Drop me an email? (It's in my profile)

By the end of the week, I play to -

    • Finish going through a coding course to better understand what I want to build my App in.
    • Purchase my domain name and set up the server and database on AWS.

By the end of the week, I plan to

    • add at least one more post on the blog, this time on working with crontab on linux, to target some traffic from technical people interested in running batch jobs.
    • migrate workload scheduler and workers away from websockets to plain http-polling because it's more stable and saner to manage. I went for websockets as a curiosity but over time it went very complicated very fast and it's harder to manage and fix bugs. I am already half done with it.
    • start implementing a new feature, deploying web services from docker images. This has multiple parts. This will take at least one more week to finish.
    • reach out to potential customers to ask for feedback.

I am building Amethyst Platform for scratching my own itch and I plan on moving the website on it once the web services are complete, some kind of a pre-alpha test phase to make sure everything works fine. Pretty excited to get closer and closer with the MVP to a state where the main core features are functional.

I'm currently on a marketing course to help with my new website release (getdevinsight.com) and part of the course is setting weekly goals and creating growth experiments.

So by the end of this week my goal is to contact 50 people from my network who I think could use the site and ask for feedback.

I'm also planning on creating a list of experiments to work on this week.

Finally, I have a few tweaks to the website landing page to make this week, based on previous feedback.

    Hello Hackers!

Last week was good for me, I got my first early adopter. But there are a lot of things I need to push now. Here are my top goals:

    • Continue pitching founders on LinkedIn/Email - 15 target for this week
    • Add 5 more blog posts
    • Focus on onboard of my 1st customer, need to finish this week

For context, I am building dwata - Software tools to help scale your Business. Get SQL/API data management, CMS, Dashboards, Funnel analysis, Workflows - without code.

    Cheers!

Nice! FYI your site is not mobile optimized - super hard for me to check out your site on iPhone. Good luck!

Hey! I think I totally broke it since I am moving to TailwindCSS. It is a work in progress and should be fixed in couple days. Sorry about that.
