What do you want to get from Indie Hackers?
by
David Delahunty
I'm interested to hear what my fellow members on IH are looking to get out of it?
What struck me was seeing so many products get traction (or a certain amount) that had competitors where before I excluded many ideas because x for that already exists.
There's a lot of valuable information shared around getting started, and most of all, alot of it is geared toward the bootstrapper building a project even as a side business as opposed to startups shooting for the moon.
Initially I came for the interviews, seeing how others successfully got started. The forum though brings a lot of that info in smaller bites.
Inspiration, ideas, motivation, community and opportunity.
Based on my own observations, a few days in, there is a really neat sense of community on IH. We are all on this knowledge journey, absorbing and imparting, one way or another, together. It seems like the path less traveled is the norm on IH. Typically those that aren’t content with the world that is created for them tend to gravitate toward creative endeavors. Simply put: there is a downside to technology, but I think the upside is exemplified by every ounce of creative energy showcased on IH.
Really cool stories and advice on here!
