What does everyone use to keep track of SaaS subscriptions and forecasting?

I am looking to start tracking subscriptions (costs, MRR, churn etc). At this stage, it doesn't have to be automated or linked to my database/payment processor. I am happy to keep it simple and enter values myself for now. What do you use for this?

I am also looking for a tool to forecast too. Any suggestions would be very welcome!

To keep track of MRR and churn, you might want to try out a low key approach using ledger-cli and djaodjin-saas revenue dashboards (https://djaodjin-saas.readthedocs.io/en/latest/ledger.html).

To do forecasting, I wrote a post with the financial model we are using, together with an Excel spreadsheet: http://djaodjin.com/blog/breaking-the-curse-of-negative-cashflow-in-saas.blog.html - if it helps.

Nice one, thanks. I will have a read.

I like using https://mrr.io -- It's straight forward, simple to use, has all the metrics that are important, and automatically integrates into Stripe.

This is also a great suggestion. It looks like it has all the metrics I was looking for. Thanks @kevinelliott

We use ProfitWell, it is like a mild version of Baremetrics but its 100% free.

It is less powerful when it comes to forecasting, but it does provide month-by-month predictions of future growth based on your previous historical progress. Works great for our need for now!

Excellent, that looks really good. Thanks!

We use Baremetrics. It's easy to use and provides a wealth of data that's useful for understanding the business. It also does forecasting.

Cool, thanks. That one looks great. The only thing stopping me is the pricing at the moment. I am trying to keep outgoings as close to 0 as possible and run lean until I get a good MRR going. Baremetrics is top of my "paid tool" list for sure.
