What does this product look like to you?
I've interviewed beta customer prospects and they all have come away from the landing page with a different idea in their head. I've been working on the copy a bit and still think I need to add a "features" section.
Does this landing page communicate the idea properly?
How is this different from Jira? What differentiates you from other software on the market?
Interesting you came away with Jira comparison. Definitely a bit different in that it’s for goal tracking and has both KPIs and initiatives for goals. A jira epic would be similar to an initiative that rolls up to a goal; tracking % progress on that initiative would be a KPI.
I've looked into a few okr based saas products and even signed up and tried a few, plus I've read measure what matters and managed a team.
I came away from your landing page thinking that your trying a different spin on it and that it sounds interesting, but for some reason it just wasn't compelling.
What is the pain point that your trying to remove?
What problem are you solving?
(I know you're helping me track progress and move towards my goals, but your not unlocking my fear or reward emotions to make me want to buy)
I left with an overall feeling of "that sounds nice, I know we should track our goals better, maybe I'll come back and have another look later" (ie later generally means never)
Bit vague I know, but hope it helps a little.
Iain, really appreciate your thoughtfulness here, and completely agree. I've had that sense lately as well.
I think your questions are rhetorical (but good ones) and I need to do a better job addressing them. Most of the value props would be similar to OKR software but I do think there's major gaps in OKRs fundamentally and how they're often implemented, that I plan to address. Working on some better screenshots to address this.
I also have a couple compelling features I'm thinking might need to be a part of the MVP to make the push towards action as you mentioned.
