What don't you like about form builders?

Hi everyone,

I'm working on Formito.com to build a better medium for exchanging data with website visitors. I'd like to do some user research before planning new features.

If you're using a form builder tool, I appreciate it if you can answer these questions.

  1. What is your form builder?
  2. What do you use it for? (e.g. waitlist registration, order book, etc.)
  3. What don't you like about it?
  4. What do you like about it?

I like the demo widget, but the whole thing reminded me of an image (didn't think it's clickable) . You want to add a 'hint' this thing is interactive.

I also see a lot of founders (myself included) that underestimate the impact of making your app easier to use. So basically, having things like: "Enter your Google form and we'll convert it automatically to a conversational form", or "Enter X-thing-you-are-already-using and we'll convert it to an X form" can be a great way for potential users to reach the "aha" moment in 2 seconds, rather than 2 minutes.

    Just my 2 cents.

That's actually a very good suggestion. I need a migration tool for well-known form builders. I'll add it to my todo list.

Regards the Formito in the header, I'm planning to change it to a video or animation and open the interactive one in a popup after clicking on a button.

Currently, my focus is on the builder and the presenter, but these are something I'll work on later.

      Thank you.
