What email marketing software do you use for your business?
I run a Shopify app and am planning to start email marketing to engage my users (stores). Right now, I just download all their emails to a csv and email with gmail, but I'd prefer an automated way to go about it. Plus points for software that can listen for events in my app to trigger automatic sends!

I use Encharge. They're developing at rapid speed, and I love the UI. And their Form tracking is outstanding. They don't have native forms but can track any form on your website with their script.
Encharge does also have a Javascript API which can listen to events, and they do also have an open API you can connect with Zapier and then automate everything.

I use Customer.io and it's amazing! Although a bit expensive... There are a lot of cheaper alternatives like SendInBlue.

Have you taken a look at https://postmarkapp.com/? I havent used but have heard about it from other indie hackers here. I don't think it has triggers, but if you can write some code, you can probably link the event to the api

I use mail shake, It's an email automation tool where you can send bulk emails, and you can customize the no of sequence (follow up)
You can customize the follow-up email ( eg: whether to stop the follow-up after the reply email)
Also, you can track engagement and the bounce rate :)
Intercom
We already use Intercom for chat with our stores. I didn't realise they offered email too!
