What experiences are needed to be a successful founder?
Too many times I see a successful founder with a resume like this:
Graduated from Princeton
Worked for 5 years as a senior engineer in some company
Met a bunch of brilliant people along the way
Started own company
This might be an optimal life experience for being a founder, but surely this isn't the only way.
Do you have to work a 9-5 before starting a company?
Do you have to have a bunch of talented friends and resources that you acquired during work/college to start a company?
To be a successful founder, experiences in leadership, problem-solving, adaptability, resilience, and effective communication are essential. Additionally, expertise in the industry, understanding market dynamics, financial management, and the ability to build and motivate teams play crucial roles in entrepreneurial success.

Also, this sounds "start-up" focused vs indie
You can say that Princeton and friends with resources is basically the same thing, don't expect the education to be much different, but the group you are learning with and gain friends is different from the base start point.
You can look up digital nomads for example as looking very different, they are one type of indie hackers, or look up for people that built "life style businesses" they aren't the same as the people who sold a company for millions, they go on a different path, with different objectives
