not sure which part to focus on next for https://lookup.design, I want to publish the page on product hunt next week to gather some early user feedback
more content (main value proposition of the site, but It takes a ton of time and I might have to redo all of my indexing once I get some user feedback)
general ux improvements (not happy with the way the cards look right now for example)
more advanced filters (right now you can only search, might be nice to be able to filter by brand/feel/type of application)
favorites/moodboards (users can favourite a good design and add it to a collection to find it again later)
Did I miss anything that you think is vital to launch?
A lot more content, for https://saaspages.xyz/ we took 900+ screenshots of 100 websites.
interesting seems like our websites have a similar goal. Do you have any plans on how to monetize yours?
I drive traffic from it to https://versoly.com/
We also have https://versoly.com/affiliate, got a few folks using it and making money.
As a potential user of this site, I'd say focus more on the content.
Also, I was a bit confused about the ultimate goal of this website. Is it supposed to be the Pinterest for UI design, where I can just see existing designs and get inspired? Or, can I export a design to PNG, SVG, Figma, HTML/CSS, and incorporate it into my design quickly?
Another cool addition (especially for complex UI widgets) would be to view the same widget's desktop and mobile version.
its mostly for inspiration. Whenever I design a new feature I always check out some other websites to see how they did it, this site is supposed to make finding good examples easy.
I also thought about mobile design but I think I'll think about that later as it would double the time I have to spend screenshotting and indexing stuff...
Definitely more content at this stage. I love your curation and clean design. It's a bit lack of direction and how should I use the creations. @jsco
I'm also running a curated directory, on Notion. Would be awesome to exchange opinions. Let me know if you wanna chat on Twitter, you can find it on my IH profile :)
I like the website.
If I have to pick from your list, content, design, and filter would be my main priorities.
An endless stream of designs or with a good internal linking, you'll keep users active on the site.
The filter is important as well. If I couldn't find what I'm looking for after interacting on the site for a bit, I'll leave.
If the site is for people to look for design inspiration, the UX of the site needs to be well above the rest. Right now, it looks pretty confusing and plain. Maybe it's because of the color choice.
On the separate note, not too sure if this is a typo "actionpannel".
Yeah my index is a bit of a mess, I was considering switching to algolia and just have one giant list of designs (instead of these subpages), think I'll go for that then.
Thanks!
