What founders told me after testing an early prototype on identity security

I’ve been sharing an early prototype with a few founders and product people, trying to understand how identity and access could work better across platforms.

Some interesting patterns came up:

  1. Clarity matters more than the idea Most people understood it was about “identity” immediately, but didn’t understand what problem it actually solves. → If the value isn’t obvious in seconds, people drop off.

  2. People don’t trust current systems as much as we think One person shared how their bank card was used without their consent. Security exists, but it still relies heavily on things that can be reused or stolen.

  3. The real opportunity might be automation, not just identity Instead of just logging users in, there’s more value in automatically controlling access and actions across systems. That’s where things started to click more for people.
