Can confirm! I actually just hit Hacker News front page this weekend with my most-recent post, and though it was only up there for a bit, I still got over 3k visits in the first two days, and 20 signups to the "Let Me Know When I Can Buy This" newsletter, plus various and sundry emails.

If your article and product both mesh with the HN audience, it can really help!

Hah, I have wasted my HN "launch" a little - I did not even have a newsletter setup yet. In the end I just got like 30 followers on Twitter and... that's all... ;)

I was on the main page, I got a lot of traffic and... that's all. After few days the effect was (mostly) gone.

But in my defense I was not the one who posted the website there. Someone else did!

Yeah we had one of customers do really well on HN. The amount of traffic he got was crazy.
