What has been the lowest point in your project so far?

And how did you get through it and out the other side?

There was a time last summer when the bug reports were piling up while I was on my 2-week vacation.

I think I had a dozen churns in those 2 weeks alone.

Ugh. That’s one of the worst things about being Indie: feeling you can’t go on vacation like anyone else! Thanks for sharing.

The project per se is okay, but on the marketing end, that's the lowest point. Getting the word out and trying to generate sales are very tough.

Oh, btw, I'm creating a language-learning database for language learners.

In the past few days, I did my best to market my product on Twitter, Reddit, and Indie Hackers. Thankfully, I made some sales through it. Now, I'm just trying to keep the momentum going and see how far I can go!

I feel you, bootstrapped many products but always having trouble finding momentum on the marketing side...

It's tough and demoralizing. Gotta try to pull through somehow. Cheers for sharing how you felt, @Styp.

I'm with you: my background is in product, and marketing is not something I really know how to do!

Well done for pushing through and getting those sales.

        Yeah, I can totally relate.

        Thanks for the encouragement, Mark!

Wishing you the best for your project, too.

Has to be the product hunt launch for me.

I have been creating a newsletter simplifying Crypto for beginners. thecoincept.com

Launched on PH without an audience. It failed to get to the front page.

Yep! You hear the stories of the products that exploded on PH, but you don't hear the more common stories like yours where it just doesn't get the traction. Keep at it!

How's this for a low point - my developer is 90% finished with phase 1 of our project and has to completely stop for health reasons. How do we deal with it? We just mothball it till he gets sorted out which may take 6 months to a year. Fortunately what we are building would have been a good idea 5 years ago and most likely 5 years from now so no panic. Okay a little panic but you can only do what you can do.

That is hard. There's no accounting for these things! Hope your developer gets better soon and you can get back to it.
