What has Indie Hackers done for you?
I was recently listening to some podcasts from @csallen and I was thinking about how Indie Hackers has impacted me, which led me to wonder how it has impacted other Indie Hackers.
For me, Indie Hackers has helped me get over my imposter syndrome, I found that I am far more knowledgable about development and design than I gave myself credit for. I also enjoy watching the successes/failures of other hackers to see how they overcome and adapt.
How has Indie Hackers impacted you?
more than anything, just being in the environment of builders who are slacking it out to push their own products helped me stay on track. It's like working in a co-working space.
The resources people share also help out immensely, like there's always someone going through the same logistics that you're trying to resolve. Helps me focus on the important stuff
+1 on this. Most of my friends don’t care about this stuff so having the community to know you’re not alone keeps me sane
This... None of my friends ever liked doing this kind of stuff.
Reading the forum and listening to the podcast has drummed in the basic principles. e.g. -
And more than that it's given me lots of self belief.
If all these other people are running online business', making money and quitting their jobs then why can't I?
This forum makes being the world of solo entrepreneur a little less lonely. It's just refreshing to know you're not the only one going through the problems you're experiencing.
