Weekly growth notes is the chance to share what you've been up to recently with a focus on growing your product.
By sharing openly we can not only support each other but we also have the opportunity to learn and be inspired by each others work.
Launched a few killer features, first time with email newsletter, forum posts and reaching out to journalist. Took me about 2 1/2 days of work and $20 in subscription fees for the emails. Enjoyed it a lot! Planning to do this more regularly, more monthly. Realized besides building an awesome product, you also need to communicate your awesomeness :D
I just relized that we were ranking on page 3 of Google for a very great keyword. This motivated me to increase the quality and densisity of our marketing content. I also believe I've found our best way to reach our target market.
I've set up a dashboard to get notified for specific keyword mentions (in my case, "privacy analytics", "google analytics alternative", and "cookie banner", but this works for any phrase which is not too popular - otherwise you will just get flooded) on Twitter and other platforms. Hopefully I can reply on time for things that are relevant to us, isntead of replying just a few hours too late :)
Yes, this is a great way to jump into conversations. What are you using for the dashboard?
Launched last week. This week:writing some articles, finding potential customers and will probably start some paid ads. Oh, and email my mailing list. Not sure the best route yet.
What did you do for your launch? And how did it go?
Not much beyond deploying code to production and then writing an IH post.
I have been focusing on building a list of sponsors for my podcast, along with blog authors and prominent tech writers to contact for a review on the show. I find this work very tediuous, but super valuable if I can get into a flow. Also looking into answering some Quora questions to 1) help out the community and 2) get some exposure for the podcast.
Do you plan on doing cold outreach to find sponsors?
Good question @rosiesherry. I am going to reach out to semi-warm leads at the moment, people who I have business relationships with. That has worked well so far. Once I exhaust those though, it will likely be cold emailing or participating in some of the ad networks. I'm open to feedback and best practices though!
Launching it!
Well, a soft launch today to people who were already alpha users.
Then a bigger one in a couple of days for a 3-month beta programme. Here I'll cap the users to ~20 and just focus on creating the best customer experience I can.
From there if all goes well, hopefully I'll be in a better position to think about scaling things.

Really looking forward to seeing how this grows!
Thanks :D Me too!
