What have you signed up to recently?

I'm forever nosey and curious to know what other people find and sign up to.

Is there anything new that you've signed up to recently? A SaaS? A newsletter? A community? A course?

Spill the beans!

I recently signed up for Algolia (https://www.algolia.com/). I am loving the platform, but it might be to expensive for a bootstrapping IH in the long run.

Signed up for growsurf.com to try out their referral SAAS for my project. Haven't implemented it yet.

I recently bought @brennandunn's Blueprint course ($997) and Mastering ConvertKit course ($347). Blueprint is about building a pipeline via a website, a podcast an email system and a variety of high touch activities to generate inbound leads. It's aimed at freelancers, but should be broadly applicable

I also bought about about 15 more technical books from Manning and every Elixir-related book that Pragprog sells, except one that's aimed at teaching fp to beginners.

Other books I bought (or finally started reading after sitting on them for years) the past couple of weeks:

    • Coders: The Making of a New Tribe and the Remaking of the World
    • The Fifth Risk
    • Who Gets What - and Why: The New Economics of Matchmaking and Market Design
    • The Prophet (a book of 26 prose poetry essays)
    • The Rational Optimist: How Prosperity Evolves
    • A New Atlantis (by Francis Bacon)
    • Millionaire: The Philanderer, Gambler, and Duelist Who Invented Modern Finance

So that's about it. I've just been buying information, no services. However, one service I want to sign up for is an event analytics replacement for Keen now that they've moved so far up market.

If anyone on IH makes one in the next week, I'll give it a spin! If not, I'll build my own replacement.

I signed up for www.clickstorestuff.com to help with cleanout and organization of my (shamefully admitted) mess of a home office

I signed up for Sunsama, which a project / daily task management app, and I'm glad I did. The visual layout just "clicks" with my brain. I'm constantly battling to get organized and to create a mental workspace for myself each day. There are many pm apps out there, and I've probably tried them all. I haven't been able to stick to anything. But hey look! I've been planning my days and tracking projects in a unified place for more than a month. I'm ashamed to report that this is a record for me.

    • I signed up to a anti virus scanner.
    • I am looking for a parental control tool which lets you limit screen times across all devices in your house. So lets say child one has completed 2 hours and the other child not, he shoult be able to use the device

I recently signed up to use wavve.co - a tool that creates short, shareable video clips from your podcast content. Surprised IH doesn't use it (or a similar tool).

Also recently signed up to use a (private) referral tool for newsletters that a friend of mine built...

It ended up working so well that I convinced them to let me join as a cofounder! 😅
