What, How, and Why Behind the World’s First Documentary About AI in Marketing

8 AI Experts. 5 Drafts. 100+ hours of editing.

This is what it took to create world’s first documentary about AI in marketing.

It all started as a response to constant negative chatter about the future of marketers after the launch of ChatGPT 3. Experts were sure that many marketing jobs would become redundant in a matter of months, and news about layoffs didn’t help the case.

However, at Mailmodo, we noticed a segment of marketers that adapted to AI quickly and were sharing their learnings with the world. They urged others not to get stressed and to treat AI like an ally.

We decided to speak to them about their experience with AI, how they learned to work with it, and what they’d suggest to other marketers. Some of the insights we learned from them are as follows -

  • Create awareness about how AI can help your team match up to large organizations that have always had an advantage because of their budget and resources. Inculcate it yourself and lead by example - Isabella Bedoya

  • Our team would have weekly sessions about AI learning, and we’d be asked what AI tool we learned about and how it helped us. This practice compelled me to try AI and slowly use it in my processes. - Najmah Salam

  • Start with the simplest process. For example - start using it for blog outlines and then move on to more complex use cases. - Ben Pines

  • Always prefer training the team to adapt to AI instead of outsourcing to upcoming “AI agencies”. This will reap you long-term benefits - Drew Brucker

More such lessons and experiences have been covered in our 30-minute documentary called “The Real Lives of AI Marketers.” Watch it today to learn -
