I lost €50K to non-paying clients... so I built an AI contract tool. Now at 300 users, 0 MRR.

Great insight into your journey!
Thank you!
wonderful article.
What an inspirational story! And thanks for mentioning Upvoty in your tool stack! 🧡
😍
Thanks for writing this! If you'd start today what would you focus on in terms of marketing and sales? Would you still consider Facebook groups?
Just launched my very first SAAS https://apistacks.com/ and I can't wait to come back here and share my story too :D Marketing is always where most (including myself) fall short, and quite a bit demoralizing! Just have to keep going right?! Well done on your success!
Thanks!
This is a timely read for me. It sounds like we have gone through similar ups and downs. Lately I have been stuck in a marketing rut with https://pageproofer.com . It feels like all the right pieces are there but the traction just isn't happening. PS your website looks really great, nice use of TailwindCss.
I'm curious do all those big name companies you mention on your homepage actually use your product? That seems huge!
Thanks! 🤩
Great post Dennis.
Interesting you mentioned that having a chatbot increased your conversion. Did you track how much that increase was in terms of percentage?
No I didn't, actually. Thats actually a shortage of me and my knowledge about marketing, I know it helped, but I never measured how much..
Loved the article, Dennis! As someone just starting out in the saas world, it's always great to read the stories and experiences of others who have been in this for a while. It's evident the growth of Ploi in these 3 years, hope my future projects can grow like this as well :) thanks for sharing!
Thank you for the kind words! 🙃
Great post. You've mentioned partnering up with UpCloud/DO, was this basically being a part of their app stores? Saw plenty of founders having success with these in my research.
Thanks! It had nothing to do with the app stores, UpCloud doesn't have one as well. The thing is, the partnership allowed us to 'highly' recommend these providers (as you can see here: https://ploi.io/links) and whenever they had a user that needed a tool like ploi, they would refer to us. UpCloud is doing this a lot these days.
