Here's a post I wrote on what I learned trying to outsource 100% of my Chrome extension MVP development to contractors. Long story short -- oversight & buy-in is everything!
Buy-in is probably pretty tough to get from contractors, but 100% the oversight is everything. In my experience, the clearer you can make the request / scope, the better your outcome is going to be. Regular check-ins are a must have
