What if you could get rid of your backlog fast?

Typo: "until you stay it is"

When you say "backed by y combinator" does this mean you are funded by them?

Landing page seems fine. What would help is to have credentials of the developers you have.
The message is "We will do stuff you don't want to do or is low priority" which is ok I guess. It would feel better if the message was more like "Supercharge your existing team with these excellent developers".

I am not looking for anyone to help out right now but if I did I would like to see who you have and what they worked on before, talk to their previous employer for references etc. Maybe all that is already implemented and only shown in the next step but would be cool to see on the front page too I guess.

  Yes, this is a hypothesis we've been testing for accelerating growth of youteam.io -- you can find more on the website about what we do. Basically, elasticdevelopers.com is like a different landing page for our main product.

  Got you. Our database of available developers is pretty big. We should have probably explained more where they come from.

  But what would be the reasoning? I mean, why would you want to supercharge your existing team? Do we need to communicate this to you?

  The thing is we don't offer to hire them, and they don't have a previous employer. They work for an agency which is a current employer, and when they have spare time from other projects, they can either get on a new project with our client full-time for a few months or sometimes it's even a year, or part-time, to help you on a small task.

I think the market exists on the demand side.

But I am curious what your arbitraging here, why are these top tier developers willing to work for less than they could get on their own? Particularly since I imagine the work isn't going to be the most interesting.

  These developers are employed in agencies. Sometimes their long-term projects end, and they have free time between projects, or they can even be signed up for long-term projects. Developers are vetted through HackerRank for Work and internal vetting procedures. They are not working for less than they could get on their own, working in agencies allows them to concentrate on work while projects are found by their managers (and on some occasions — with our help). For people like you, it makes sense to hire external developers because it's more efficient than hiring freelancers in the US, or hire in-house — because of the hourly rate, flexibility, and our speed in finding the matching developer for you.

  Nope, we're a team of 20+ people, with 4 of us (+ 1 external developer, actually) working on this certain Elastic Developers project. Developers who are employed on projects through Elastic Developers are not a part of our team but we fully vet them. Please find more in my comments in this thread :)
