what is indie hackers all about?

It's a great community of like-minded entrepreneurs who are trying to build their online companies. And because most people are relatively on the same stages of their entrepreneurial journey, it creates an environment where people go out of their way to help each other out!

For instance, when I needed feedback on my landing page (www.tribefive.me for reference), I got lots of people who went out of their way to point out blind spots, ask questions about things that weren't clear, etc. All of this meant that I was able to iterate on my landing page and increase my conversion rates.

This is just one example. As you get familiar with the community, you'll see people help each other out in many different ways.
