What is one business lesson you wish you HADN'T learned?

Title says it all :)

That you need to look for a co-founder before starting.

That you need to look for funding before starting.

(As opposed to just looking for customers right away.)

All these are usually peddled by angel/institutional investors with vested interests.

They give you advice that's for their own good, not necessarily your own good.

    Use discretion.

99.9% of lessons on Instagram "business pages" (like this one). Basically If-X-then-Y lessons.

For example: "If you have the power to go alone to a restaurant or a movie theater then you can do anything in your life."

These "lessons" sound good but can't be validated. They make these lessons/quotes on purpose. Beware of any If-x-then-for-certain-y lessons (probably 99% of business lessons are in this category).
