What is the best build-in-public medium for open collaboration?
I'm new to the build-in-public space and very fascinated by the idea. I have been following makers on twitter, makerlog, and now indiehackers. Which medium is the best for open collaboration with anyone who is interested in the product? Are there nuances to each of these mediums? Are there any other websites/products that are tailor-made for build-in-public folks?
I am actually looking for something too. I am currently looking into modern day forum software to since I want to engage with a range of experts across fields and topics. So, that will likely work for me.
Depending on your product, open collaboration could be github and pull requests. It could be slack/discord for discussion and community building, etc.
Do people use github for collaborative work on documents? I always thought it is limited to code?
If it's a text-based file, you can do diffs, discuss commits, etc. Then you can do it all on GitHub.

GitHub is really powerful, but you have to learn Git, of course.
