What is the best platform to release content as a content strategist?

I'd like to create and release content (articles or videos) for early stage startups about marketing and content strategy. But I'm just not sure where is the most effective place to release it?
Some platforms i'm considering - but please tell me your opinon...

-Substack
-Medium
-Twitter (they have some long format now?)
-Youtube
-Linkedin (although I personally not a big a fan of it).

Any thoughts on what might be best?

In effect I want to be able to connect with an audience and springboard from that with solid portfolio pieces that I can demonstrate my experitse in those areas to potential customers I meet.

The substance of the content will revolve around things like;
-acquiring customers who don't know your solution exists
-content creation execution and content strategy
-all things lean startup, MVP, validation, early stage.

Thanks

    I'd add Beehiiv and Tealfeed.

    From the ones you mentioned, I would prioritize Medium, Twitter, and Youtube only if you have time for video content creation.

    PS. Twitter, you can do long-form if you have Twitter Blue (subscription)

    Linkedin, not a big fan of it either, but a lot of people seem to be doing a big push in there.

    and honestly, all you need is to get started -- don't overanalyze which platform to use; do all of them. I use Twitter, Medium, and Beehiiv to share my newsletters content

      This is pretty much everything I could say on this topic. Agree with all the recommendations.

      Would you like to share some insight on how you share your content on Medium? Do you repost the whole thing there?

      Great info Alvi.
      Just to summarise the posts and feedback, maybe this order;
      Medium,
      Twitter,
      (Optional) Tealfeed.

      For video;
      Tiktok
      Youtube shorts
      -> lead them to Youtube channel for longer form.

      -->> lead all to newsletter.

      So Beehiiv would be recommended for adding followers to an email newsletter? That makes 100% sense. Was there a reason for that one over say mailchimp or just that's your preferred one?

      With Tealfeed, does it have a bit of organic audience already is that the reason for recomending?

      Thanks a bunch much appreciated

        tealfeed is similar to medium; not sure how long they've been around, but the content they target is startups, entrepreneurship, etc.

        For Beehiiv -- I mention it specifically for a newsletter. Mailchimp is more of a email marketing platform, yes you can build a newsletter there too, but it has much more use cases beyond that (Beehiiv is newsletters only).

        Because you were looking at distributing tips for others, it is good to start building a list of emails as you distribute your content. That is why I mentioned the newsletter, because whatever content you intend to use, you will be able to repurpose and put into the newsletter.

    For video - 100% Tiktok. It is by far the best place to get video content out there. You also do want to have some sort of more sustainable/rewatchable platform like Youtube, where you can also maybe have your long-form content.

    Personaly Indiehackers and dev.to give me new subscriber after each post. I will start from next week : Hackernoon, Medium and Digg. Other places i recommand is Product Hunt discussions and Makerlog.

    You should probably start with 2-3 platforms at max or it'll cause you to burn out. My favourite stack is Substack+Twitter+LinkedIn that I use for https://marketingshots.substack.com/

    As a content strategist, the best platform to release your content will depend on a number of factors, including your goals, target audience, and the type of content you are creating. Here are a few options to consider:

    Blogging platforms: Blogging platforms such as WordPress, Medium, and Ghost are popular options for releasing written content. They are user-friendly, have robust content management systems, and offer a range of customization options.

    Social media: Social media platforms such as Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook can be effective for sharing content and engaging with your audience. Depending on your target audience, you may also want to consider platforms like Instagram or TikTok if they align with your brand and content strategy.

    Email newsletters: Email newsletters can be a great way to share longer-form content with a dedicated audience. Platforms like Substack or ConvertKit can help you create and distribute newsletters to your subscribers.

    Video hosting platforms: If your content includes video, platforms like YouTube, Vimeo, or Wistia can be effective for sharing your content and building an audience. They offer features like video analytics and integration with social media platforms.

    Podcast hosting platforms: If you are creating audio content, podcast hosting platforms like Buzzsprout, Libsyn, or Podbean can help you distribute your podcast to platforms like Apple Podcasts or Spotify.

    Ultimately, the best platform for releasing your content will depend on your specific needs and goals. Consider your target audience, the type of content you are creating, and the features and benefits of each platform before making a decision. Additionally, it's important to maintain a consistent presence on the platform(s) you choose and engage with your audience to build a following over time.

    LinkedIn for sure. It is the fastest growing market and it is also considered a search engine. If you post valuable and informative content consistently, you will build a loyal audience and it will benefit you. You can also publish your blogs on Google.
