What is the best strategy to identify an audience?
I've created an application and a chrome extension (https://www.tuktuk.com/) that rewards online shoppers in crypto instead of cash. User is not limited to bitcoin, and they can select from a wide variety of coins. They can also shop from almost any country in the world.
I assume my audience is shoppers who are crypto-curious. The app had around 150 sign-ups and a few transactions.
The problem is I have no idea how to confirm my assumptions. I'm running google analytics, but it's not giving me much to work with.
Would it be a good idea to run limited ad campaigns on several social networks?
Maybe you could pitch your project on groups or subreddits where these people would spend time? Ask them if they see value in your project.
Another way would be to send an email to your users asking them to fill a quick survey, asking them what group they best identify with, giving them a few options to check
