What is the best thing about Indie Hackers?

It's a great place to be inspired. You read about folks that were where you are right now, how they took that first tiny step, and how they've grown in the process. It removes most of our fears before starting our own journey.
That's the best thing about IndieHackers.

We've all got similar goals yet, we all want each other to succeed, that's the true beauty of it.

Never known anywhere else like it - it's not the site, its the people

Wow, so much:

1. Being part of a community, just on its own.
2. Learning from the other hackers' stories.
3. Getting feedback, advice, and support.
4. Getting traffic from IH/ IH twitter account.

1. Motivation. So many people doing great stuff on here and inspiring others to do the same!
2. Learning. I used to wait forever before showing my creations to the world. Now I decided to reach out to potential users super early.

I think mainly the inspiration on other people's success also just nice to verify ideas off.

For me, IH essentially boils down to two things:

1, seeing that this lifestyle is indeed possible
2, seeing that people try, fail, succeed

I get to hang out here, contribute, learn and help this community grow every day as part of my job. 😊

very nice interface.
people are business-minded, success-oriented and value money. it drove me to despair to see complete hypocrisy everywhere around but finding this place was very reassuring. i started a research on how to get paid for my software and ended up here so today's been really good day psychologically to see that it's real to make money (also read this book today https://www.red-gate.com/library/dont-just-roll-the-dice).
there's been a lot of places i can't visit anymore because of anxiety of seeing responses from people who haven't earned shit yet act like freaking gurus, in the end of the day it's all about how much cash you were able to generate into your pocket, so i hope i can find my refuge here

For me, it's that a lot of other resources about entrepreneurship + startups are written in the past tense. How we did X, and how we got to X.

Of course they're always going to be valuable.

But most unique to IndieHackers in my opinion – is the sense that it's current + things are happening right now (those things that will probably become the past tense articles), and that's V exciting!

The people are earnest. They want to learn, they want to succeed, they want to share. They are happy to give & take constructive criticism.

Great place to get feedback. Great place to connect with people with different skills/experiences. There's a lot of quality here; people know their stuff.
