What is the easiest and cheapest (preferably free!) way to collect attachments on a landing page?

I'd like to be able to collect attachments (PDF and maybe Word docs) on a landing page. I haven't settled on a landing page solution yet. I have full stack eng skills so could make various options work, but my goal here is to get the page up with minimal effort and cost. Thanks for any advice!

Thе еasiеst and most cost-еffеctivе solution, prеfеrably frее, to collеct attachmеnts on a landing pagе is using Googlе Forms. With Googlе Forms, you can еasily crеatе a form with a filе upload fiеld, allowing visitors to attach filеs dirеctly to thе landing pagе. It's a straightforward, usеr-friеndly option rеquiring no additional plugins or еxpеnsеs. Givе it a try and start collеcting attachmеnts hasslе-frее!

The first thing that comes to mind is to make a landing page with whatever you're familiar with and then have a link to a Google Form where people can upload the doc and whatever other info you need.

Not sure that having an external bit in there is what you want, though.

Thanks for the reply! I have no issue with the external bit. My concern with the google form solution is I think it forces users to have a google account to be able to add an attachment, which may be too limiting for users

Yeah that's probably not great. I recommended something I don't actually know much about!

It’s a good recommendation otherwise. Sometimes developers get so hung up on trying to roll their own solution that they don’t realize perfectly suitable alternatives that don’t require any coding exist

Typeform gives you that functionality and I think you can use zapier to automate any other parts of it

If you already have hosting, an easy solution would be to use a php contact script that has an attachment file option. When someone fills out the form and attaches their PDF or any file and hits submit, you'll get it as an email.

Lots of free scripts for this. Just search "free php contact form with attachment"

I'd say a Python script unless there's something special about the environment, page, etc.

I also might be mis-interpreting the question.

Collecting attachments on a landing page, preferably for free, can be achieved by using various online tools and services. Here's a simple and cost-effective way to do it -

    1. Google Forms
    2. Typeform
    3. JotForm
    4. Formspree (Limited Free Plan)
    5. WordPress with Contact Form 7 (if you have a WordPress site)

that while these options offer free plans, they may come with limitations, such as limited storage or branding. Depending on your needs, you may need to consider paid options or self-hosted solutions for more flexibility and control.

Hi, have you checked out Tally? I think they have a lot of options for Forms that are really helpful. Otherwise I think Jotforms could also work.
